Carla Tarquinio

Vocal and Performance Coach, Carla Tarquinio, has solidified herself as an integral leader in Melbourne’s music scene.

Working primarily as a Music-Theatre performer, taking on traditional roles like Puck (Shakespeare’s, A Midsummer Nights Dream), alongside contemporary leads like Elle Woods (Legally Blonde), Marty Maraschino (Grease), and most recently— Star-To-Be, Ronnie Boylan, & Lily St. Regis (U/S) with PerformX Productions; Carla has connected with audiences as a triple-threat-in-training and profound storyteller.

But as a self proclaimed ‘jack-of-all-trades’, Carla’s journey to musicianship does not end with musical theatre; as she has solidified herself as a versatile creative, technician, and session musician; finishing her major certifications (Certificate III Music Industry Performance, Certificate II Music Industry Sound Production, and Certificate II Dance) all before the age of 18.

Her ambition, leadership, and meticulous research making her a regular feature across Melbourne’s live music scene (venues inclusive: Baxters Lot Fitzroy, Desir Bar, Eynesbury Market, and Several-Time Opening Act at Kindred Bandroom). As well as stage managing for various theatres and education establishments (including ‘Futuration’— The Palms at Crown), Carla has an extensive background in behind-the-scenes management, backstage assistance, and in-ear/microphone specialisation.

Moreover, Carla currently serves as Head of Drama at Caroline Springs School of Music and Drama, where she has Directed and Produced ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’, ‘Puffs’, and regular monologue showcases. Beloved by her students, Carla brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity, and support to her classroom; and is excited to cater to the incredible students of The Plucked String.
