About

Monday nights at The Plucked String are dedicated to both Ensemble & Performance Practice.

The night is broken into two, 1 hour classes:

- 6:00pm: Guitar Ensemble

- 7:00pm: Performance Workshop

These classes are designed to be an inclusive and encouraging space for musicians to meet like minded individuals, while also gaining hands-on classical guitar performance experience in both large and small ensembles, and solo performance settings.

People of all skill levels are welcome to attend (including complete beginners).

Some equipment is available for loan during rehearsals: Footstool, Music stands, Tuners, Sheet Music & Guitars, but you are encouraged to bring your own.

All sheet music is provided, however, you are encouraged to bring your own music for performance workshop, if you like.

Performance Practice sessions are directed by

Damien McCluskey.

All sessions take place Monday nights from 6:30pm (staying for all 3 sessions is not mandatory) located on the roof of our building 370 St Kilda Rd, Southbank.

(to access roof please press ‘R’ on the middle elevator)
