About
The Melbourne Community Chinese Music Ensemble is a FREE community ensemble organised by The Plucked String music studio in Southbank, and directed by our wonderful teacher,
Damien McCluskey.
The ensemble is designed to be an inclusive and encouraging space for musicians from all walks of life to meet like minded individuals who are interested in Chinese music, while also gaining hands-on ensemble experience.
People of all skill levels are welcome to attend - it's ok if you can’t keep up, we will help you!
Dizi - Erhu - Guzheng - Pipa - Zhongruan - Daruan - Sheng - Hulusi - Sanxian - Yangqin - Percussion
Participants are encouraged to bring their own instrument music stand, instrument.
This ensemble primarily plays Damiens compositions.
Rehearsals take place Thursday nights from 6:00pm - 7:00pm located on the roof of our building 370 St Kilda Rd, Southbank.
