The Melbourne Community Indian Music Ensemble is a FREE community ensemble run by teachers of

The Plucked String music studio in Southbank.

The ensemble is designed to be an inclusive and encouraging space for musicians from all walks of life to meet like minded individuals, while also gaining hands-on ensemble experience and learning about Indian music culture..

People of all skill levels and instruments are welcome!

Sitar - Tanpura - Tabla - Harmonium - Bansuri - Voice - Sarod - Sarangi - Santoor - Ektara -Dholak and others etc.

This group is free to attend, although participants must provide their own music stand & instrument, some instruments may be provided to complete beginners - please message us!

Rehearsals take place Tuesday nights from 6:30pm - 7:30pm at our offices' rooftop rehearsal space located at 370 St Kilda Rd, Southbank.
